Fireplace clicking but staying dark, or a pilot that dies overnight? We offer fireplace repair in Shoreline for inserts, stoves, log sets and fire tables. A licensed tech finds the failed part, you approve the upfront price first, and most fixes happen the same day.

Gas fireplaces are gas appliances, and they deserve a licensed technician who works with valves, burners and venting all week long.
We test the pilot, thermocouple, igniter, valve and wiring with a meter, then replace only the part that has actually failed.
We are licensed, bonded and insured in Washington, and we check connections for leaks and watch the flame before leaving your home.
You hear what is wrong and what the fix costs. Nothing starts until you approve that price, so there are no surprises.
Furnace, heat pump or ductless trouble too? We service those as well, and one of the few local companies also handles gas fireplaces.

Shoreline's postwar ramblers and split-levels often began with a wood-burning hearth that later became a gas insert. Find yours below to see what usually goes wrong and what our techs say about it.
Many Shoreline owners converted an original masonry hearth into a gas insert for easier heat. Inserts depend on tight venting, clean sensors and a steady pilot, so a failure is noticed right away. We repair the controls and make sure the unit vents and burns the way the maker intended.
Pilot or igniter will not hold
Remote and receiver stop responding
Glass fogging or sooting
Shuts off after a short run
Months of sitting can leave dust on the pilot, drain the remote or receiver batteries, or let a sensor drift. We clean and test the ignition path and replace whatever failed.
Sometimes. Older flues and liners can affect draft and venting, so we check that exhaust flows out properly and the unit is running safely before we call it fixed.

A gas stove can warm a family room or a daylight basement quickly, but its blower, ignition and glass seal all work hard. Whether yours is slow to light, noisy or cycling off, we track the cause and repair it so the room heats evenly again.
Delayed or failed ignition
Buzzing or rattling blower
Weak flame at the burner
High-limit switch shutoffs
The blower motor is the usual source, often from dust, a worn bearing or a loose mount. Cleaning or replacing it quiets things down and protects the stove from overheating.
It is a safety feature doing its job. A dirty sensor, weak thermopile or blocked vent can trigger it, so we find the trigger rather than bypass the safeguard.

Gas logs bring a classic fire to an older hearth without wood or ash. Because they burn with open flame and sit in a masonry opening, they need clear burner ports and correct log placement. We restore clean, even flames and safe, reliable startups.
Soot on logs or firebox
Lopsided or lazy flames
Pilot blows out
Odor when the fire runs
Soot comes from a flame that is not burning cleanly, often because logs have shifted into the flame path or burner ports are plugged. We reset the layout and clean the burner.
Most vented log sets require the damper to be fully open whenever they run. Ask us to confirm the right setup for your specific set and hearth.

Patio fire features near Richmond Beach and the bluffs deal with damp salty air and wind. Corrosion, wet burners and tired igniters are common. We service the controls and burner so your evening fire starts when you press the button.
Corroded burner or igniter
Won't light after rain
Weak or uneven flame
Control panel not responding
It can speed up corrosion on igniters, fasteners and burner parts near the water. Keeping the unit covered and having it checked each season helps it last longer.
Check that the gas valve and tank or line are open. If they are, a wet or blocked burner, a weak igniter or a gas supply issue is likely, and we can sort it out.

Phone us or request a visit online. We work around your day, and a real person answers whenever you call.
Our tech finds the cause, explains it in plain language and quotes the repair. Work begins only after you say yes.
We complete the fix, test the flame, check connections for leaks and clean up, so you can sit back and enjoy the fire.
A little attention each fall prevents most winter surprises. These habits keep a Shoreline fireplace lighting easily and burning clean through our long, damp season.
Windstorms can knock out Seattle City Light power. Fresh backup batteries in the receiver mean your fireplace can still run during an outage when you need warmth.
Clean it with a product made for fireplace glass, and only when the unit is cold. A thin film builds with time, and gentle cleaning keeps the view clear.
Logs and embers can shift over time and block burner ports. If your flames look uneven, the layout may need to be reset to the manufacturer's pattern.
A yearly check of the pilot, burner, venting and gas connections catches worn parts before they leave you without a fire on a cold night.
Gas appliances can release carbon monoxide if venting is blocked or damaged, and you cannot see or smell it. Put a working CO alarm on each level and by the bedrooms, and test it monthly. If it sounds, everyone goes outside and you call 911 first.
Gas fireplaces often hint at trouble before they fail completely. Catching it early usually costs less than waiting for a total no-start, and it keeps the unit safe. Watch for any of these warning signs:
If you smell gas: do not light anything or touch switches. Leave the house, then call 911 or Puget Sound Energy at 1-888-225-5773 from outside. Once it is safe, call us at (425) 225-4756 for the repair.

A yearly visit cleans and tests the pilot, burner and venting, so your fireplace is ready before the first chilly, gray Shoreline evening arrives.

Yes. We travel from our Lake Stevens shop to every part of Shoreline, including Richmond Beach, Ridgecrest, North City, Echo Lake and Briarcrest, and same-day visits are usually possible.
We repair most major gas fireplace, insert and log set brands, including Napoleon, Heat & Glo, Regency, Majestic and Montigo. If you are unsure of your make, we can identify it on site.
A dusty or warm-paint smell on the first fire of the season is normal and soon fades. A smell that sticks around may mean a venting or part issue, so have it checked. A gas smell means leave right away.
If the lighting instructions are on the unit and you smell no gas, relighting once or twice is fine. If it will not stay lit, stop and call us instead of repeating the steps.
Units with electronic ignition need power or backup batteries to run. Check the batteries in the receiver first. If it still will not start once power returns, a technician should inspect it.
Often yes. We check the venting, connections and burner of any gas insert or log set in an older hearth, and tell you plainly if something needs correcting before regular use.
